Sikha Bisoi from Ganjam belongs to a poor family where her father is a small musician with very less income. She faced so many problems at the time of her studying at Govt.
The Institution was started by State Govt. of Odisha under the department of Employment & Technical Education & Training in the year 2009. It is located at Hikudi, Sonepur, the district head quarter town on Sonepur-Sambalpur Road (S.H. – 16) 5.6 Kms. from Collectorate, Sonepur. It is 75 Kms. from Sambalpur on NH-53, 53 Kms. from Bolangir on NH-126A, 55 Kms. from Boudh on NH-157, 277 Kms. from Bhubaneswar on N.H. 224. It is well connected by train & bus. Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Sonepur, is a premier vocational training institute in the state of Odisha.
